Here at St Mark’s the safeguarding of children and vulnerable adults is extremely important to us.

If you have any concerns regarding a child or vulnerable adult, the following procedure should be followed:

 

RECOGNISE - different types of abuse/safeguarding issues can happen anywhere and by anyone.

RESPOND - listen, acknowledge and support, reassure them that it will be taken seriously.

REPORT - Alert the Parish Safeguarding Officer and/or the diocesan safeguarding team within 24 hours. In an emergency ring the police (999).

RECORD - Make accurate and factual notes. Sign and date.
